My story begins on August 27 2002, I was out enjoying a mountain bike ride with my three best friends. 13 minutes into our ride, on a trail we all had ridden many times, I had a crash on my bike. I was riding fourth wheel, as I was coming off three weeks of racing and was going to take it easy. So no one saw the crash, but when I did not show up at the next trail junction Ken returned down the trail to find me laying on the ground, about 20 feet away from my bike, curled up in a fetal position gasping for air. He had just completed EMT training and knew to roll me over and open my airway, then stabilize my head. I have no memory of the crash and the impending journey to the hospital (actually most of the next 9 months). Somehow Dale got a cell signal out and Joe was able to ride out and meet the rescue squad. They had to carry me a couple of miles on a back board to get to the four-wheeler to get me to an ambulance. 3 fractured cervical vertebrae, double concussed brain, multiple cuts and bruises. My doctor told me that there was no logical reason for me to have survived the crash. Over time I begun to understand why God has chosen to keep me on this planet. The journey has been hard, the road full of bumps, but as I look back over the last 24 years I begin to understand the work he has done to use me to help spread his love.

What is your story? I hope you will share with us so we can spread your inspiration to help others who think they can't go on. Often when I would be at my lowest points it would be a word or statement by someone who had survived their own journey that would inspire me to fight on. Your story could be that for someone else, or reading the story of another warrior might give you the strength you were so desperately in need of today.

How do you deal?

You find your self in a room full of people who claim they love Christ, yet their actions don't back

Have you gone to a gathering of friends, or associates and suddenly find what they are discussing does not align with what You read in the Bible. You spend your time reading Christ words, especially the red letters and try to follow His words. When you suggest that maybe they have wandered from His word, then you get attacked. You ask about things like Matthew 25, 31-46. This is where Jesus tells us exactly how we should treat others. Those who are in need we should all work to lift up. But you hear how they are lesser people, do not deserve help, don't pay taxes. All things never mentioned by Christ.

How do you cope? How do you react? Can you hold back your own anger so you do not enter into their circle of disbelief. It has to be one of our biggest challenges in the World to stay strong in our faith.

Jesus taught us to...

Matthew 25 31 - 46

"When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separate his sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the King will say to those on his right, "Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you have me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.'

Then the righteous will answer him, "Lord when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit?'

The King will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.' Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For when I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.

They also will answer, 'Lord when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?' He will reply, 'Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for the least of these, you did not do for me.' Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."
